Gifts for Jesus 2021

There are few seasons of the year that are as exciting as the Christmas season. There is just something about the colored lights, beautiful decorations, festive music, and family get-togethers that make it a time we all look forward to with great joy and delight.

One specific aspect of Christmas that makes it “the most wonderful time of the year” is that people are usually in the giving spirit. It’s been said that you are never more like God than when you give. After all, “God so loved the world that He gave…His only begotten Son!” Being able to share gifts with our families, friends and those in need always lifts the spirit of the one doing the giving, as well as blesses those receiving the gifts (cf. Acts 20:35).

This year we are partnering with Samaritan’s Purse to undertake some very special and much-needed projects that will bring the Gospel to people in great need. Our hope this year is to dig at least one or two more clean water wells ($10,000 each), provide as many individual water filters to families as possible ($100 each), build and/or repair a mission hospital (something we have never done before…costing $35,000), and help to feed and house displaced refugees, thus saving their lives from imminent death. All of this is done in the context of sharing the Good News that Jesus saves in some very remote parts of our world!

We have set aside December 12th and 19th  for us to receive our annual “Gifts for Jesus” offering. Will you be as generous as possible in helping us help those who are much less fortunate than ourselves? Anything and everything you give that is designated to this special Christmas offering will enable us to complete the aforementioned projects. Put yourself in the place of someone in the Third World this Christmas. Picture living every day wondering if there will even be a tomorrow. Let’s show the true love and generosity of Christ this season by helping dear souls who are in such great need.

Mary and I want to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas! We have the most generous church that has given repeatedly to those who have so much less than we do. I pray that you will know the blessings that come from sharing with others the life-saving Gospel and the practical gifts that are required to sustain daily life. I believe God will reward every gift of unselfishness and love for others! Please join Mary and me as we give the gift of “life” to people that so desperately need our help.
